"The natural setting is the highlight, but they could do better. Hope they learn."

The mountainous environment with the creek winding through the course is impossible not to appreciate, so drink in the picturesque scenery. However, the greens were in awful shape, the grounds crew was mowing throughout the entire 18 holes, and the pace was super slow (nobody was regulating that either). There was only one ball washer, and no drink cart coming around when it was 96 degrees!

"Groupon or nothing"

My son and I played this course on July 17, 2016. We used a groupon that cost 44.00 for two to play after 11:00 am. This included the cart. The saying that you get what you pay for is correct. The course is in desperate need of a major over-haul. If something doesn't change, this course won't even be worth the cheap rate.

"Would not play here"

This course is a disaster. From the time we started till finished we kept asking why we chose this course, the front nine was pretty open but like playing on a parking lot, then the back nine, whoever designed some of those holes should never be able to design another course. Most holes had blind shots where you had no idea where to hit it. Definitely not worth $50 to play. What a waste of time that day was.

"Gary Player course? Which "Gary Player""

Had high hopes before playing this course, but it turned out to be pretty much a cow pasture type course. Some really strange holes on the back nine. There are more weeds and huge patches of clover than grass in many sections of the course. No on-course refreshments. Little in the clubhouse at the turn other than water, pop, chips. Green fees at $53 are more than double what they should be for what you get here. But, Gatlinburg is not exactly a golf vacation destination. If you're in the area for fun, leave the clubs at home. Not much here.
